Authorities, insurance companies and not least consumers regard the UL® test seal as proof of a product’s reliability.
The UL® test seal is given with the listing of the plastics and is essential for export
The main items listed are some favored product properties although in general any property can be submitted for a UL® listing.
Based on the CTDP status (Client Test Data Program) the Thermoplastics Testing Center has the unlimited certificate for fire, aging, weathering and electrical testing for a total of 42 tests from the US-American Underwriters Laboratories (UL®).
This certificate enables the Thermoplastics Testing Center to test and certify newly developed Bayer products in Uerdingen and Leverkusen, so that new Bayer products can be presented to customers worldwide. They no longer need to be sent to UL® in the US for certification. In addition, our customers have access to rapid, cost-effective and reliable testing of their latest developments.
The following criteria were crucial to obtaining thecertificate:
Comprehensive and fully-developed equipment and testing technology
Above-average maintenance and monitoring of machinery
Highly qualified personnel
Very good correspondence between the results of UL® and those of the Thermoplastics Testing Center
