Dielectric strength
This method is used to assess the dielectric strength of an insulating material. The voltage is calculated at which a harmonic alternating voltage collapses upon destruction of the insulating material.

Result of the test method:

Depending on test method, the maximum voltage/time until the test specimen fails.
