Compression test
This test is used to assess the behavior of plastics when they are subjected to uniaxial compression stress. The test results are only comparable if the test specimen are produced and tested under exactly the same conditions. They can therefore not be transferred to any random plastic products. The elasticity modulus (E Modulus) serves as a parameter of comparison for different materials and is a measure of stiffness.

Results of the test method:
    • Values for stress and strain such as:
        • Compressive modulus Ec [MPa]
        • Compression flow stress sY [MPa]
        • Compressive strength sM [MPa]
        • Nominal flow compression ecy [ %]
        • Nominal compression at compressive strength ecM [ %]
