Dielectric characteristics
This test method is used to calculate dielectric properties.

Results of the test method:

The dielectric constant er is an unknown proportional number. It provides information on the number of times, the capacity of a given capacitor is increased if, instead of a vacuum, an insulating material is introduced into it.

The loss factor tan d is the tangent of the complementary angle to the phase angle j. It represents a measurement of the energy absorbed by the insulating material in the alternating field.
