Penetration test
The instrumented test in accordance with this standard, describes a testing method used to determine the penetration behavior of solid plastics. An impactor is moved towards the test specimen at constant speed at right angles and penetrates it. The test is possible within a temperature range from –40 ºC to +23 ºC.

Results of the test method:
  • Force and deflection values such as:
    • Maximum force FM [N]
    • Deflection at maximum force lM [mm]
    • Energy to maximum force EM [J]
    • Puncture deflectionlP [mm]
    • Puncture energy EP [J]
