Taber abrasion test
This method is suitable for testing the abrasion resistance of surfaces and coatings. Two rollers covered with emery paper chafe over the rotating test specimen surface, and simulate different stresses by varying the grain size and contact pressure. Transferring the data obtained from this test is generally only possible if the test conditions correspond to the practical situation.
Otherwise it is intended for comparative material assessments.

Result of the test method:

Abrasion in mg/x revolutions and possible subsequent measurement of cloudiness.
